Notes for 2/29

Came in today and started disassembling ALEN. I have all of his circuitry documented, and all of the mechanicals are being redesigned anyway, so it was time to break down the old stuff to make room for the new.

Over the course of the next week, I’m going to CAD up all of his parts (with weights) and come up with the new mechanical design.

Also, started playing around with programming the ABB arm in RAPID. I ran into a problem with a syntax error in my MoveL statement that I can’t quite figure out. I decided to take a break and come back to it.

In other news, I’m planning to use my EECS 600 project to describe the system of object recognition/manipulation that I’m building for this robot.
