More CAD Work Today

less than 1 minute read

Did a bit more CAD work today. I modeled the DC-DC supply, LIDAR supply, relay, sabertooth motor controller, and router.  I also found places for these on the robot. I worked out how many DIN rail blocks I’ll need at each voltage. All that remains is the CAD up the DIN rail and put it in the robot. After that’s done, I’ll have to put in all of the holes for mounting hardware, and I should be ready to order parts.

Plans for tomorrow:

  • CAD DIN Rail
  • CAD mounting holes
  • Generate drawings
  • Update Profs. Newman and Lee on status
  • Move cRIO breakout design into gEDA(?)
  • Fix back rails in CAD (verticals need length adjusted)

Plans for Week:

  • Test inverter
  • Test PC power supply
  • Mount PC power supply in case
  • Finalize E-Stop Design
  • Finalize cRIO breakout design
  • Submit parts order for E-Stop and breakout
  • Submit board order
  • Submit any hardware/materials orders for frame
