Motor Controller Status Update

less than 1 minute read

I swapped in the 2x50HV motor controller, which works with commands from the cRIO (tested with a load resistor). In the process, I accidentally connected the controller backwards, which caused a short (probably shoot through the MOSFETs in the driver), and blew the 80A fuse that’s integral to the Invacare battery packs. I put the batteries on to charge overnight and will replace the fuse (borrowing from HARLIE until I can order another).

I’ve reassembled everything, except for the IRC5. Once I’ve successfully driven by teleoperation, I’ll put the IRC5 back in and I can move on to other things. Note: Blown fuse is a Littelfuse 0498080.M
