RRI Installed
Author’s Note: I’m going to start using this as a lab journal for my masters, as well as for other projects. Entries may not make a lot of sense out of context.
Today, I came in at night and managed to get all of the add-on software, including Robot Reference Interface, installed on my IRC5 Compact.
After installing the additional packages, I got an error from the IRC5 that the DeviceNet master/slave board is missing. I was able to modify the system configuration to remove this hardware (which I think Russell’s IRC5 has, but mine does not) and reload the system. This time I got an error that the force sensor was not set up. I don’t have a force sensor. I disabled two force control option packages, and reloaded the system again.
This time, I got yet another error, related the some configuration files. I had to call it a night before I could look into it.
I also continued to organize the lab, moving more D-sub cables to the cable rack.
